Amorgós has many seasons” is a contribution to the 3rd International Short Tourist Film Festival of Amorgos held in 2012.
The film is recorded and produced by the Danish journalist Michael Jagd, who has also written travel guides and articles about the Cyclades. Michael Jagd has visited Amorgós in 1978, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2011, and the video recordings are from 2011, while some of the stills are from 2005, 2007 and 2008.The film comes about Amorgós as an Cycladic island of wellness with its spa, yoga, raki, healing and herbs. 600 species of flora grow in the mountainous nature made for healthy walks all year round. And the many religious festivals and the nisiotiko (folklore and songs from the island) take care of the mental healing. We visit the villages of Katápola, Aegialis, Langada, Tholaria and Chora. And not to forget the famous monastery Panagia Chozoviótissa from 1088 facing the Big Blue. Duration: 16-17 minutes. HD version.
