Oinoxenia 2014 is a series of events to promote the wine culture of the Aegialis region through local quality wines, organized by the Local Social Benefit  Organization Aegialis (DI.K.EP.A.) from 18-31 August. Locals and visitors will have the opportunity to tour wineries, by wine experts, in Aegialis and enjoy exquisite local wine varieties in festive atmosphere.

The program includes the following events:

Wednesday, August 20, 20:30 Winery “Oenoforos» – Rouvalis Winery. Traditional songs and dances from all over Greece about the grape harvest and wine by the Dance Group Egion.

Thursday, August 21, 20:30 Winery “Tetramythos” An evening of jazz with thre band Almost There Quartet and art exhibition On wine and love of art and design artist George Stavropoulos.

Friday, August 22, at 20:30 “Achaia Winery“ presents at “Loss” café on the beach of Egion, a Wine Cocktail Night & summer cinema-viewing movie about wine. After the cinema refreshing cocktails and wines will be served overlooking the sea followed by a drawing if 5 lucky bottles.

Sunday 24 August “Gastronomy Night“ in the village square Paraskevi, at 20:30, with the chef, Kostas Tsiga and the wine specialist Angel Rouvalis. Jazz rhythms will accompany the gastronomy night by the band Sakis Chinook and there will be a tour to the stone winery “Karanikolas”.

Thursday-Friday, August 28 & 29 “Slopes Flights” to Rira Wineries (Arravonitsa Aegialis), time 10:00-16:00. Flight demonstration of paragliding by the School Paragliding & Paramotor “No Borders”. Vine leaf tasting through summer snacks!

Saturday August 30, Winery Cavino 21:30. Musical Evening with the female quartet «Fortissimo» from Thessaloniki, drinking wine.
