International Membership
You're in the right place if you are a travel agency or tour operator located in
Greece.
Here you'll find the benefits of International membership, and the qualifications
for becoming an International member and the International

The Benefits of International Membership

- FREE--ASTA's Worldwide Membership Directory. This directory is used everyday by
ASTA members around the world to contact each other when they send clients to foreign
destinations. Your company 's name, address, phone, fax and telex numbers are listed in
the Membership Directory. You can also specify your type of business--as a retail agency,
a receptive (in-bound) tour operator, or out-bound tour operator. The Membership Directory
is updated and sent to all members every year.

To Qualify as an International Member, a business entity must...
- Comply with the ASTA Principles of Professional Conduct and Ethics.
- Support the continued improvement of the travel agency industry.
- Be an accredited travel agency, in good standing with International Air Transport
Association ("IATA"), or its successor organizations, or operating in accordance
with all applicable laws of the firm's country of residence.
- Not be located in the United States or its territories.
- Be operated with the intention of making a profit from the travel agency business.
- Have any required licenses to be a travel agency.
- Not have been expelled from ASTA within 3 years.
- Not have made unauthorized use of ASTA's collective membership marks, trademarks, or
service marks, or otherwise misrepresented an affiliation with ASTA within 3 years,
provided , however, upon recommendation of the Staff, the Membership Committee may waive
this requirement in the case of a former member, upon payment of an amount equal to the
dues the former Member would have paid if it had remained a member, if extenuating
circumstances are shown.
